Who is Your Child’s Role Model

Miley Cyrus is 'embarrassed' over some of the pictures taken during a recent Vanity Fair photo shoot. According to FoxNews.com, these pictures included "shots of the teen wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet, looking over her shoulder with her back exposed."

In comments about these photographs, she initially expressed her admiration for the photos by saying, "It wasn't in a skanky way. Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought that was really cool." It was only after the photographs became public and a few people began to express outrage over this children's role model posing in immodest photographs that she expressed her remorse.

Disney, the company who hosts her television show claims she was manipulated "in order to sell magazines." Let's not forget who appeared in some of the photos with her: her father. You read it right! Her father was there with her for the photo shoot and actually appeared with her in some of the photos! If she was manipulated, it was in full view of her parents and her handlers. So, if she was manipulated, whose fault was it?

So which is it? Is this an innocent young lady who was abused by the big, powerful magazine company or is this an up and coming pop-tart? Let's not forget that just last week, another (as in not the first) set of photographs leaked from her blog. I have not viewed the photographs, but they are described as her and her boyfriend in an embrace where one of the two is pulling her shirt up to reveal her belly while the other is pulling her shirt down to reveal her undergarments. According to news reports, this is only the latest in 'provocative' photographs of 'Hannah Montana' which have escaped from her private blog.

We are living in a society in which parents are offering their children on the altar of sexuality. Children, even the children in our churches, are being allowed to view the likes of Hannah Montana and High School Musical, pick their role models and they are emulating their harlotish ways.

• Recently, a teacher in a local middle school told me that kids are now coming to school dressed so immodestly that the school has to keep clothes on hand to cover the children.

Who's fault is this?

Cyrius' father was present when the Vanity Fair photographs were taken and actually appeared in some of them.

I remember being at church one day when a teen girl walked in to the youth pastor's office. The girl was dressed in a very provocative way. The youth pastor asked the father, "did you see how your daughter was dressed?" The father replied, "yea, she's hot, isn't she?"

Every parent, everywhere is responsible for raising their children. Wait, they are not our children to raise, they are the Lord's children. We need to remember that these children have been entrusted to us by God and that we are to raise them in the light of the Word of God.

Where is this leading? In five years, if the Lord should tarry, I believe we will look back on this as the beginning of the downward spiral in this child's life. We may be discussing her premature pregnancy, if she does not kill the baby in an abortion, or we may be comparing her destroyed life to the likes of Brittney Spears.

What is the outcome of your children's life going to be? Are you allowing this in your home? Perhaps the most striking comment I have received in the last few months was from a father who narrowly avoided a tragedy. He said, "Not only did I trust my son, I wanted to be his friend. He has plenty of friends, he needed Godly parents." This man hit the nail on the head. Kids need parents, not friends. Where a friend would encourage this trash in the home, a 'parent' will not!

Holy Father...

When many people address the pope, they call him Holy Father. People also call their Catholic Priest Father.

There is a simple truth, actually a simple command from the lips of Jesus Himself:
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

This is another example of the flawed nature of the Roman Catholic organization. Perhaps I should call it a nation rather than an organization. Remember - it is not the 'church' founded by Christ!

Pope Visites United States

WARNING...FACTS AHEAD...

The United States of America, a country founded by Christians who sought to escape the oppression of the Roman Church, welcomed the leader of the Catholics. Throngs of people cheered at each event as Pope Benedict XVI spoke.

It amazes me that the United States, a nation founded in the Word of God, has sunk to the point where so many people are now worshiping this man. While he claims to be 'Christian' he openly denies the Word of God through his idolatry and extra-Biblical teachings. In fact, the Pope is teaching what the Bible describes as 'doctrines of devils and lies in hypocrisy'.

1 Tim 4:1-3 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

For many years, the Catholics have commanded that certain people remain unmarried. Likewise, for many years, the Catholics have commanded that people not eat meat on certain days. The Bible cannot be more clear about this. These are doctrines of devils. Some may argue that not eating meat one day a week is a healthy alternative. Perhaps there is merit to that, but to make the command that it is a sin to eat meat on certain days is clearly a doctrine from hell. However, the command to remain unmarried has clearly caused a great amount of pain to many innocent people:

• Every day, children are molested by priests in the Catholic organization (I refuse to call it a church).
  
• There have been allegations of Nuns who engaged in sexual relations with priests and became pregnant. Since abortion is a sin, they were allowed to carry their children to full term and deliver the babies. The baby was then quickly murdered. It is reported that churches in Europe are build on foundations of slaughtered infants - infants killed to preserve the reputation of the church.
  
• Catholic history records the command to priests to 'abandon' their wives and children when this evil doctrine was published.
  

This is only one example of the evil nature of the Catholic organization. I wish I had more time to illustrate all of the errors of this organization such as the worship of saints, the worship of Mary, the false doctrine that Peter was the first Pope, Catholic communion, infant baptism, purgatory, the Rosary, etc., etc.

SCHOOL -- 1957 vs. 2007

Scenario: Jack goes quail hunting before school, pulls into school parking lot with shotgun in gun rack.
1957 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2007 - School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counsellors called in for traumatized students and teachers.

Scenario : Johnny and Mark get into a fistfight after school.
1957 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2007 - Police called, SWAT team arrives, arrests Johnny and Mark. Charge them with assault, both expelled even though Johnny started it.

Scenario: Jeffrey won't be still in class, disrupts other students.
1957 - Jeffrey sent to office and given a good paddling by the Principal. Returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.
2007 - Jeffrey given huge doses of Ritalin. Becomes a zombie. Tested for ADD. School gets extra money from state because Jeffrey has a disability.

Scenario: Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.
1957 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college, and becomes a successful businessman.
2007 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy removed to foster care and joins a gang. State psychologist tells Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has affair with psychologist.

Scenario: Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1957 - Mark shares aspirin with Principal out on the smoking dock.
2007 - Police called, Mark expelled from school for drug violations. Car searched for drugs and weapons.

Scenario: Pedro fails high school English.
1957 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English, goes to college.
2007 - Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English banned from core curriculum. Pedro given diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.

Scenario: Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from 4th of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle, blows up a red ant bed.
1957 - Ants die.
2007 - BATF, Homeland Security, FBI called. Johnny charged with domestic terrorism, FBI investigates parents, siblings removed from home, computers confiscated, Johnny's Dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.
1957 - In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2007 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy .
